Waihonua Location

Waihonua was developed by Alexander & Baldwin and completed in 2015.  Initially there was skeptisizm with the view planes of the building with its location between the buildings Hawaiiki Tower, Nauru Tower, and Koolani.  The ocean facing views were surpsingly nice and mainly featuring Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park.

Each floorplan typically includes nice residences per floor.  With 43 stories and the top three floors considered penthouse level.

The Neighborhood

Waihonua is located near the largest open-air shopping center in the world- the Ala Moana Shopping Center. 

In a quick 3-minute walk across the street, Waihonua residents can have access to hundreds of designer boutiques, large chain stores or small shops, restaurants, and year-round live performances.

The building is located in between two of the best Supermarkets in the area.  On the Diamond Head side of the building a short walk will take you to Foodland Farms at Ala Moana, or in the opposite direction residents can go to the largest Whole Foods on the island in Ward Village.

For larger purchases, a Walmart and a Sam's Club are located a few blocks Northeast on Ke'eaumoku Street, which is a 4-minute drive or a 12-minute walk from your residence.

For families with students, President William McKinley High School is even closer, which is just a short 9-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from Waihonua, meaning students can quickly and safely walk to and from school, if they choose.

Not to mention, just down the street is the expansive Ala Moana Beach Park, which is a great spot for having small get-togethers with family and friends, taking pets on walks, exercising on land or in the water, or just enjoying the Hawaiian Sun.
