Ālia- Kakaako's Newest Condo on sale now!
Ālia will be the ninth residential project added to Honolulu's Our Kaka'ako neighborhood. This tower will stand 400 feet tall, will feature 477 new homes (437 market-priced units and 40 reserved housing units). and will add 3,500 square feet of commercial ground floor space across the property's 3.45 acres. Alia will be a part of the continued development of Kamehameha Schools Master Plan Developement published back in 2008, along with two other projects called Kahuina and Kali'u.
The property is being developed by the Kobayashi Group, which is a real estate development and investment firm based in Hawai'i. Arguably one of Hawaii's premier developers known for Kukio Golf and Beach Club, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Park Lane Ala Moana and Four Seasons Hualalai Hotel and Resort- Locally they have developed Park Lane, One Ala Moana, and Hokua.
It it expected to begin construction in 2023 and be completed in 2026, with units beginning to sell by the end of 2022.
The location of the project will be west of Ward Village.
One of the most talked about developments is an area in the Kakaako Makai area called Hakuone. Its an approximately 30 acre parcel given to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) as part of a 30 plus year past due Public Land Trust payment $200 Million from the State of Hawaii. The 30 acres sits on the ocean side of Ala Moana Blvd. where you can find the Kakaako Waterfront Park, The University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, Hawaii Childrens Discover Center, and a fine dining restaurant 53 by the Sea.

Ālia's location in Kaka'ako will mean that Ālia residents will have quick access to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, the largest Whole Foods in the state of Hawai'i, and much more. This building, specifically, will be situated South of downtown Honolulu and Northwest of Ward Village, another popular residential community in Honolulu.
Being located in the heart of Kaka'ako also means that it is situated nearby the SALT at Our Kaka'ako shopping center, which features a variety of cafés, restaurants, boutiques, and other businesses. This center hosts 85,000 square feet of commercial space, and there is no shortage of great experiences here.
Though the details have yet to be released, taking example from Ālia's neighboring buildings means that residents may be able to expect amenities like a pool, a spa, a fitness center, open recreation space, a community area, and more.
